A straightforward combi-for-combi swap is usually done in a day. Moving the boiler, converting from a system boiler, or adding an unvented cylinder takes longer, and you're given a realistic timeline at the survey, not on the day.
Combi or system boiler, which is actually right for my house?+
Depends on how many bathrooms are running hot water at once and whether there's room for a cylinder. Sam will recommend based on the house, not the boiler that happens to be easiest to fit.
What happens to the old boiler?+
Removed and disposed of properly as part of the job, not left for you to deal with.
Does the warranty registration happen automatically?+
No, and that's exactly the step that gets missed when it's rushed. It's registered with the manufacturer on the day of the install, before Sam leaves.
